Working with MEVD17.2.9 requires the ECU to be wired differently when reading the TPROT password and DFlash. Reading the TPROT password can be done with connecting T1,T2, CH and CL using the diagram below:

Important notes

• T1 and T2 carry the PWM signals in this wiring, marked in green on the diagram — they are not the same pins used on the other ECUs in this section.

• Reaching the BOOT PIN means opening the unit. If the job can be done without the DFlash, it can be done without opening the ECU.
