WIKI

For vehicles equipped with a VSM (Peugeot 308 III, Citroën C5 III, Opel Astra L), the odometer value is stored in both the VSM and the Navigation Unit.

Calibration must be performed on both units.

Important: During this procedure, the PSA software must be started with no vehicle connected.

The VSM contains an 95256 EEPROM which must be read and written on bench using the ZN130 ABProg programmer

Procedure

  1. Remove the VSM from the vehicle and place it on the bench.
  2. Open ABProg, select 95256, and read the EEPROM (soldering required).
  3. Open the PSA software > Mileage > Since no vehicle is connected, you will be prompted to load the EEPROM file previously read with ABProg.
  4. Go to the New Mileage tab > select the value > modify and update it > click Write.
  5. A Save As window will appear. Save the newly generated file.
  6. Open ABProg software , select 95256 EEPROM, and write the modified file back to the VSM.

Note : The vehicle must remain disconnected throughout the entire VSM procedure.
