- OEM New or Used Keys
Prepare the key as a Dealer Key using: Make Key with ZN085. Then program it to the vehicle using: Key Learning by CS.
- Aftermarket Virgin Keys
Prepare the key using: Make Key with Protag then perform Key Learning by CS.
Important : VAG models that changed platform after 2021 typically use 1st-generation SFD. On these vehicles, the Gateway blocks communication with the immobilizer, therefore a connection to the internal CAN bus using CB012 is required.
Locate the Central Electronics Module (09) and inspect the wire colors behind the connectors. Look for the twisted CAN pair:
- Orange/Green — CAN High (CAN-H)
- Orange/Brown — CAN Low (CAN-L)
For vehicles using 2nd-generation SFD (SFD2), usually electric vehicles and models that changed platform after July 2024, the Gateway must first be unlocked using the original diagnostic tester tool. The key learning procedure must then be performed within the next 30 minutes.
