- The keys to be programmed, plus a working key for the additional-key case
Additional key
Additional Key programming is done trough the Smart Access System special function > Key Registration. Procedure is guided, you need to follow the on-screen instructions.
All keys lost
All Keys Lost requires you to perform a Smart Access System reset; once the procedure is complete, you need to do the Key Registration procedure.
Important notes
- Keys on this platform are presented at the start button, not turned in an ignition - and the prompts are timed (30 seconds).
- After the keys are programmed you will be asked to turn the ignition on with each key, and ECM registration should then start automatically.
- If the steering lock will not cooperate in an all-keys-lost job - the procedure stalling around 90% - see 6.6 ESL Adaptation in All Keys Lost Situation.
