Reading and registering Injector codes is very important when the user is faced with the need to replace the Subaru diesel injectors.
Required equipment
- Abrites AVDI interface connected over OBDII
- Abrites Diagnostics for Subaru software
- The codes of the replacement injectors
Step-by-step procedure
1. Enter the engine control unit
This is done by entering the Engine control unit's menu.
2. Select INJECTORS and read
Once that is done the user should select "INJECTORS" and read the injector codes.
3. Save the codes
Then they should be saved.
4. Register the injectors
The injectors should be registered and the vehicle will start.
Important notes
- Read and save before replacing. The stored codes are the reference point if anything goes wrong with the new set.
- An unregistered injector set is a common cause of a non-starting engine after a replacement job - registration is not optional.
