When pressing the Scan button the user will see the electronic modules installed in the vehicle they are currently working with. The number of faults within each will also be displayed.

Important notes

• The fault count is the shortest route to the module worth opening. Work from it rather than opening units one at a time.

• The scan list is also what every other function selects from — Live values and Actuator tests both ask you to pick a module out of it.

• Clearing the codes is a separate step — see Clear faults.
