Using the "Erase all keys" option is very helpful if the customer has lost one or more of their keys but still has one working key. This function will allow you to remove all registered keys apart from the one that is currently in the ignition. This means that the rest of the keys will not function with this vehicle, but you can program one or more additional keys.
If the vehicle has no working key, you will have to first program a key and then use the Erase function, as it requires a working key in order to be executed.

Required equipment
| Licence | SB004 — Alarm OFF and Key Learning for Subaru Vehicles (MY 2021-2026) |
- Abrites AVDI interface connected over OBDII
- Abrites Diagnostics for Subaru software
- A working smart key
Step-by-step procedure
1. Start the procedure
Upon starting the procedure you will be asked to confirm by clicking yes.
2. Present the working key
Once the procedure is started you will be asked to hold the existing key of the vehicle by the start button. Do not turn the ignition on - just hold the key by the button.
3. Let it erase
The procedure will erase all other keys from the smart system.
4. Re-program the keys that are needed
Program the customer's remaining keys with Key Registration.
Important notes
- Hold the key at the start button - do not turn the ignition on. This is the step most often got wrong on the smart platform.
- The key you present is the one that survives; every other key is removed.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Likely cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| The function refuses to run | No working key present | Program a key first, then erase |
| The key is not recognised at the start button | Held too far away, or the ignition was turned on | Hold the key against the start button without pressing it, and retry |
