Similar to vehicles with a mechanical key, smart systems can hold a certain count of keys and would not accept more than 8 keys programmed to the smart system. With this functionality you are able to check the number of registered keys to the smart system in the vehicle you are working on.

Once you select the "registered key count" you will see this window which will tell you the current key count.

This is a very important step to be performed before any key learning is done, because the vehicle may have reached the maximum number of keys that it accepts. If the number of maximum keys is reached you will have to erase keys first - the procedure is described in a dedicated section.

• Abrites AVDI interface connected over OBDII
• Abrites Diagnostics for Subaru software

Important notes

• The smart-system limit is 8 keys - double the 4 allowed on mechanical-key platforms.
• If the count is at the maximum, run Erase All Keys first - which requires a working key.
