Using your AVDI with the manufacturers' own software
The Abrites J2534 pass-through driver lets the AVDI work as the interface between the vehicles and the vehicle manufacturer's diagnostic equipment, as well as other 3rd party software applications - ODIS, Techstream, Consult III+, VIDA, GDS, DIS, Xentry and others.
The descriptions assume that you have a computer or virtual machine with the corresponding software installed. Abrites Ltd. cannot provide the software described, because it is not produced by Abrites Ltd.
Required equipment
- Abrites AVDI interface, with its USB cable
- The pass-through file for your AVDI ID - SetupInterface_xxxxxx_PASSTHRU.exe - supplied with your interface software
- The manufacturer's application, installed on the same computer or virtual machine
- For the virtual-machine setups: VMware
Important
IMPORTANT: It is mandatory to run the third party applications as Administrator - right-click the .exe file and select "Run as administrator".
Set the latency timer of the AVDI's COM port to 1 ms, according to the AVDI Common User Manual.
